Sam has been a licensed cosmetologist in Illinois since 2013, and has held a Wisconsin cosmetology license since 2023. Her professional journey started at Hair Cuttery and then moved to a private suite amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Since then she has expanded her craft and has added numerous certifications to her professional portfolio.

Sam strives to create and maintain an inclusive salon atmosphere, welcome to anyone who needs a safe and judgment-free space to embrace their creativity and express themselves through their hair. If you’re someone who likes their hair on the simpler side, she’s excited to meet you as well.

She is happy to accommodate requests for silent appointments, even (and especially) if you’re an existing guest who maybe just needs a few minutes to themselves.

She’s also passionate about community outreach and support, particularly in the LGBTQ+ community.

Education is important to me, whether I’m working to share knowledge with you or gain more knowledge for myself. Those pursuits have led me to a number of certifications including:
- Extensions: Keratin, beaded, beaded wefts, sewn in wefts
- Rëzo Curly Hair Certified
- Lucky Locks Sparkles: hand-tied to individual strands and behave like your own hair
- Hair Loss Practitioner: helping you explore options during hair loss
We’re all just human and we deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. I do my best to run my business in a way that treats the people in my chair how I would want to be treated myself.
In my time as a cosmetologist I have learned how much waste is produced in a salon atmosphere and I am doing everything I can to combat that. I recycle everything I can through Green Circle Salons and Salon Cycle; and that includes your empty containers from home as well.
I am also slowly working my way through a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability Studies with the long-term goal of helping larger companies within the beauty industry make smarter environmental choices.
