I’m not gonna lie to you. When I first introduced the Leaf and Flower line back in December, I was iffy on adding the Molecular Mender to my overall lineup. I was concerned that I would have too many treatments to offer at once and I needed to continue fine tuning my business. Well as I continued to experience the rest of the line and really fall in love with it too, I decided it was time to go back and take another look at the Mender to see if it was something that made sense for me now. After all, the best way to grow is to always be reassessing, and the time seems right to bring this part in as well.
What were my initial hesitations?
Almost exclusively about cost, specifically the cost per treatment. The suggested cost per treatment is $65, which can be a lot to process when it’s not something you’re used to spending. My goal behind the chair has always been, and continues to be, making sure that you are getting the most results for the money you’re spending. I want to educate, not sell, when it comes to the products I’m using and the services I offer.
Who benefits the most from this treatment?
Obviously this isn’t going to be a good fit for everybody. The people who will benefit the most from this treatment are those who are looking to control frizz without something like a Brazilian Blowout, repair previous damage as much as possible, and to address some scalp issues. So far with just the shampoo I’ve had a lot of positive feedback from guests who usually experience significant flaking, itching, or redness, and this treatment would be a great way to address some of those issues in a more concentrated format in the salon.
Another person this would be great for is someone who’s in between Brazilian Blowouts. The original Blowout will last you about 12 weeks on its own, and this would be a great way to extend the life of that Blowout a few more weeks at a lower cost than another Blowout.
The benefits last about 10 washes, so if you’re someone who washes your hair frequently I don’t feel like you’re going to get the most bang for your buck and we should look at different options for you.
How long will this add to my time in the salon?
A very good question. This will only add about 30 minutes in the salon, and most of that is time that you get to relax under the dryer while it does its thing.
