Moving into a new year gives us all an opportunity to grow and expand and streamline success. Starting my own salon suite amid a global pandemic has given me a unique opportunity to grow. In all of my excitement I created options upon options as I started to learn new product lines and find new favorites both in products and techniques; refining and honing my methods and skills.
Once the initial excitement to create started to subside, even I started to feel overwhelmed by the options and trying to figure out how to balance what the best choices are for each individual person’s services with what is the most fair way to price a service that makes sense for both you and me. I always want to be up front with pricing but at the same time I don’t want to feel pushy when recommending services or products because I don’t want you to feel like you’re being nickel-and-dimed.
After a lot of thinking it suddenly became clear: if I’m going to announce color pricing by the hour, why don’t I just apply this to everything?

Upgrading to a Shine Bomb experience is the ultimate way to pamper yourself (or someone else with a voucher). Upgrade to a full Shine Bomb by combining your original services with an additional clear glaze and blowdry styling for maximum shine and softness.
FAQ / fast facts
- You’ll notice that the pricing for your usual experience may have changed since you most recently booked an appointment.
✨Please rest assured that if your appointment was booked prior to Wednesday December 30, 2020, the original price will be honored.
- The experience you would normally have booked may now include more or less things that you would usually have received.
✨Appointment services and times can easily be adjusted upon request, which can affect the cost of your services up or down. If your questions can’t be addressed in person at the time of booking, please don’t hesitate to call or text me at 224-801-4352 to discuss your concerns.
- For example: if you’re booking a color but don’t need a cut, let me know at the time of booking and I can adjust the appointment time as necessary, which then lowers your cost.
- What exactly is a Shine Bomb? What do you mean by “clear glaze”?
✨There is actually some science behind color treatments being conditioning and beneficial for the hair. A Shine Bomb is a special service that preps your hair with a Malibu clarifying treatment and a rough draft blowdry, followed by a clear color along with B3 to penetrate your hair’s cuticle with moisture and repairing proteins. Once that processes it’s rinsed and your shine is sealed in with a Milbon Moisture Treatment, and polished off with a blowdry and style of your choosing.
- How can I get a Shine Bomb?
✨You can book it a la carte or as an addition to just about any service.
- What if I want to add other upgrades as well?
✨Keep scrolling the menu options until you’ve added everything you want! It will all get blocked together when you finalize booking.
- What if I’m not sure what option is right for me?
✨Your absolute best option would be to book a consultation. Consultations are best in person, but can be done virtually as well. The deposit left at the end of your consultation is applied to your return service when you book at time of consultation. If you upgrade to a service at the time of consultation, deposit is waived.
- What happened with the cancellation policy?
✨Effective January 1, 2021: If I haven’t heard from you by 9pm the day of your missed appointment you will be charged 20% of your booked services. If you feel you should be exempt from this charge, please call or text me at 224-801-4352 so we can discuss your options. In the event there’s no credit card on file to charge, a note will go on your account and payment will be due before future appointments are honored.
- What if I don’t want to enter my credit card online?
✨That’s totally valid. I do have a card reader so you can still use a card if you prefer. I can also take cash and most forms of electronic payment.
- What else do I need to know?
✨A lot of new things that come out of the salon will be announced and detailed on this website, so be sure to subscribe to stay notified of new content. The front door is still locked, so let me know when you get there so I can let you in. Masks are still mandatory in the building and until the doctors and scientists deem it safe otherwise, my suite.
2021 and beyond!
The beauty and downfall of running my own business are both that I get to call the shots. Sometimes that means ideas that I couldn’t execute perfectly the first time and making adjustments as I go. I’m only human and I welcome constructive criticism and ideas.
